My aim with this collection was to reinterpret two influential aesthetics in the past 50 years with a modern perspective. Each piece is intended to contain both traditional Western influence, and aspects popularized during the gritty, urbanite aesthetic of the 1990's rave community. The essence is created from blending two contradicting styles. The rugged cowboy style juxtaposed with the oversized, technical elements found in 90's street culture brings a fresh perspective. My goal with fusing two contrasting aesthetics was to pay homage by reflecting popular design elements that contribute to both iconic aesthetics.
